After you update the file, it is immediately active in the Central
directory access tool. Do not change the file name as you
update the file.

Use the steps in the next procedure to install the Central directory access
tool.

Installing the Central directory access tool
Step Action
1 Ensure that the IP DECT Configurator is installed on the DAP
controller PC.
2 Create an Excel file for the Central Database as described in
Procedure 107 “Creating an Excel file for the central database”
(page 209).
3 Check for the Central directory access tool software.
The Central directory access tool software consists of a folder,
called DISK1, containing a setup file.
4 Run the setup.exe file, and perform one of the following:
If Microsoft Office Access database engine is available on your
PC, the Central Director Access Startup window appears.
Proceed to step 5.
OR
If Microsoft Office Access database engine is not available, you
are prompted to install Microsoft Office Access database engine
2007. See the following figure.
