To check the online status of a friend on your list:

To initiate a call to a friend on the Friends list:

Edit

Do one of the following:

— Press the Status Context-sensitive

soft key to view the status of the

friend. You can see the current

presence status of the friend.

— Press the All Context-sensitive soft

key to view the contents of the

Address book including contacts

designated as friends and regular

contacts.

—Press the Edit Context-sensitive soft

key to make changes to the

information entered for a friend or to

delete the contact from the friends

list.

Exit

Press the Exit Context-sensitive soft key to

return to the idle screen.

Call

1. Press the Status Context-sensitive soft

key to view the information about the

friend.

2. Press the Call Context-sensitive soft key

to initiate a call to the friend.

The IP Phone 1140E uses the SIP address

or phone number from your personal

Address Book to make the call.
