Enabling and Disabling Error Labels for Outbound ICMP
Error Datagrams
Use Site Manager to specify whether you want the router to supply an error label
to outbound ICMP error datagrams. The router uses the Error Authority and
Min Level fields to create an error label.
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
Interfaces
. The IP Interfaces window opens.
4. Click on the interface you want to edit. Site Manager displays the parameter
values for that interface in the IP
Interfaces window.
5. Set the following parameters:
• Error Label
•
Error Authority
Click on
Help
or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-66.
6. Click on
Apply
, and then click on
Done
. Site Manager returns you to the
Configuration Manager window.
