Configuring Unsolicited Reports on an Upstream Interface
By default, an IGMP Relay device sends an unsolicited group report on the
upstream interface. After an interval of 10 seconds, IGMP sends a second report.
Using the BCC or Site Manager, you can specify the interval between the first and
second unsolicited reports or configure IGMP Relay to send one unsolicited report
only.
Using the BCC
To configure unsolicited reports on an upstream interface, navigate to an IGMP
Relay interface prompt (for example,
box; ethernet/2/2; ip/2.2.2.2/255.255.0.0;
igmp; relay
) and enter:
report-interval
<interval>
interval
is one of the values described in Table 9-3.
For example, the following command configures IGMP Relay to repeat the
unsolicited report after 30 seconds:
relay/2.2.2.2/1#
report-interval 30
relay/2.2.2.2/1#

Value Meaning
0 Configures IGMP Relay to send only one unsolicited group report on
this interface
1-255
(Default is 10)
Configures the number of seconds that IGMP Relay waits to repeat
the unsolicited report
