Function: Enables or disables time sequencing and forwarding of Syslog (event)

messages to the remote host associated with this host entry.

Instructions: Enable this feature only if the remote host must receive Syslog messages

in the order in which they were logged on the router.

When you enable this feature, Syslog on each slot

• Polls the local events log

• Retrieves messages from the local log

• Filters the messages

• Time-sequences messages that pass through the filters

• Forwards sequenced messages to IP on the router, which in turn

forwards the messages to the remote host associated with this entry

When you disable this feature, Syslog on each slot

• Polls the local events log

• Retrieves messages from the local log

• Filters the messages

• Forwards sequenced messages to IP on the router, which in turn

forwards the messages to the remote host associated with this entry
