Setting Resource Timers from an Application
Use Environment blocks to modify resource message timing within an application (for
details, see the PeriView Reference Manual).
Handling Resource Timeouts
By default, when an application receives intertimeout, the application speaks a
“Please hold on” message to the caller. To customize this message, use the Application
Manager Configure Applications tool; modify the Host Timeout Message in the Host
Communications Options window (for details, see the PeriView Reference Manual).
The VENGINE can also be used to customize this message using command line
option -o.
