The telnet command is in the exec command mode.
Table 43 describes the parameters and variables for the telnet command.
There is no default value for this command.
Trap notification when configuration changes saved to
NVRAM
When configuration changes are written to non-volatile memory, a trap
(bsnConfigurationSavedToNvram) is sent to the trap receiver indicating that a
change has occurred to the configuration of the device. This trap will also appear
as an event in the volatile system log.
Displaying the default interface
To display the current default interface, execute the following command:
show cmd-interface
Below is an example of the output from the command:
BPS2000#show cmd-interface
Note: You use the telnet command in config mode to configure a telnet
session to the switch, while you use the telnet command in exec command
mode to establish a telnet session to a remote system.

Hostname>
Enter the IP address or the hostname of the device to connect to.
The hostname can be a simple name, such as fred; in this case the
DNS domain name, if set, is appended. Or the hostname can be a
full hostname, such as fred.ca.nortel.com.
