BRI Interface Configuration
Default: Disable
Options: Enable

Disable
Function: Enables or disables X.25 service over the D channel for each BRI line.
Instructions: Select Enable to enable this feature. Otherwise, accept the default.
CAUTION: If you enable or disable this feature dynamically, the router
disconnects all existing calls over the B channels as the ISDN software makes
changes for the feature. Once the changes are complete, the software restarts
and you can make calls again.

Auto
Function: Specifies how you choose to configure the TEI value for the DTE. You can
preassign the identifier value at the time you order ISDN service or the router
can learn the value from the switch dynamically when you place a call and the
line becomes active. Either way, the switch assigns this value. This parameter is
available only if you enable X.25 over the D channel.
Instructions: Select Fixed to enter the identifier assigned by the switch before placing any
calls. Select Auto so the router learns the identifier dynamically once the line is
active.
