Using the Configuration Manager
This chapter describes the Configuration Manager, the Site Manager tool that lets
you create and modify router configuration files.
A configuration file contains the user-defined configuration for a router and its
interfaces. Once you have a working configuration file, you can use that file to
boot the router.
This chapter contains the following information:
Instructions for modifying and saving configuration files are in Chapter 3.
Note:
If you are configuring an Access Node (AN
®
), Access Node Hub
(ANH
™
), Access Stack Node (ASN
™
), or Advanced Remote Node
™
(ARN
™
)
for the first time, you must read Configuring Passport Remote Access or
Connecting ASN Routers to a Network before you continue. These guides
explain the special considerations for configuring and booting ANs, ANHs,
ARNs, and ASNs.
