Examples:

After transferring the ﬁle, you can rename or copy it at the source to its original

name. If the new ﬁle at the destination is a conﬁguration ﬁle or an executable ﬁle,

verify its integrity by booting with it. If the system boots and loads the

conﬁguration without problems, you can rename or copy the ﬁlename at the

destination to its original name.

You can also load a ﬁle onto the router by specifying the router host name and

volume, using the following command:

tftp put

<remote_ﬁle> <host_name>

<local_vol>

<local_ﬁle>

This method is useful if the wfTftp.2.0 attribute for the default volume was not set

during the Quick-Start procedure.

Appendix B in this guide describes how to transfer ﬁles out-of-band (using

facilities outside the IP network), using the

xmodem command.

If you enter: The local system:

tftp put 192.32.1.62 conﬁg2.cfg

newconf

Sends a copy of conﬁg2.cfg to newconf on

the remote node at the IP address

192.32.1.62.

tftp get 192.32.1.62 conﬁg2.cfg

Gets a copy of conﬁg2.cfg from the

remote node at the IP address 192.32.1.62.

If you enter: The local system:

tftp dark

put install.bat dark:2:install.bat

Transfers a copy of the install.bat ﬁle to

Volume 2 on the router known as “dark.”
