Setting port speed
You can set the speed and duplex mode for a port. This section covers:

speed command
The speed command sets the speed of the port. The syntax for the speed
command is:
speed [port <portnum|all>] {10|100|1000|auto}
The speed command is in the config-if command mode.
Table 38 describes the parameters and variables for the
speed command.

Description
port <portnum|all> Specifies the port number to configure the speed. Enter the port
number you want to configure, or all to configure all ports
simultaneously.
Note: If you omit this parameter, the system uses the port number
you specified in the
interface command.
10|100|1000|auto Sets speed to:
• 10—10 Mb/s
• 100—100 Mb/s
• 1000—1000 Mb/s or 1 GB/s
• auto—autonegotiation
