Glossary of Avaya MPS Series Terminology low water mark
Page 68 # P0602812 Ver: 1.3
low water mark A limit maintained by the system for MultiMedia files. The low-water
mark signifies the point when there is sufficient available message
space. As messages are deleted (presumably after having been played
and transcribed), SMP returns mmflow after reaching the low-water
mark, indicating that recording can be resumed. SMP only returns
mmflow if the MultiMedia file previously exceeded the high-water
mark.
You can record CMR messages directly into application-specific
MultiMedia files. Set the water mark limits in the configuration file
smp-mmf.cfg for each MultiMedia file used for recording; the
low-water mark is set on a per MultiMedia file basis.
For additional information, see the Avaya MPS System Reference
Manual and the Avaya MPS Application Programming Reference
Manual.
Contrast with high water mark.
