Using Site Manager
To associate the IP address of an adjacent host with its physical address, complete
the following tasks:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
Adjacent Hosts
. The IP Adjacent Hosts window opens.
4. Click on
Add
. The IP Configuration window opens.
5. Set the following parameters:
•
IP Adjacent Host Address
• MAC/ATM Address, DLCI, VPI/VCI
•
Host Encapsulation
•
Adjacent Host Address
• Remote Party Sub-Address
• Remote Party Type of Number
• Adjacent Host Type
Click on
Help
or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-30
.
6. Click on
OK
. The IP Adjacent Hosts window displays
the adjacent host you just configured.
7. Set the following parameters:
•
Enable
•
Next Hop Interface Addr
Click on
Help
or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-30.
8. Click on
Apply
, and then click on
Done
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
